JO JACKSON |
Returning to New Image Art, Jo Jackson will be showing beautiful minimal ink paintings of waves that offer a modern rendition of the great waves found in the Japanese prints of Hokusai. Her images put a modern flatness and simpistic abstraciton-figuational spin on the traditional while incorporating the bright colors of her San Francisco, Mission School upbringing. Jackson’s work has shown at galleries in Paris, London, Basel, Milan and New York. |
Both artists were included in the ground-breaking museum show of their generation: Beautiful Losers which is currently touring Europe. |
